Macroom Massage & Holistic Clinic
Sports massage is a form of soft tissue manipulation to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body during any form of physical activity, whether at home, work or in the gym. Regular massage can reduce aches and pains, aid recovery, prevent injuries and enhance overall physical performance.
Sports massage is one of the fastest-growing forms of treatment for the public and athletes to prevent injuries. Sports massage therapy can effectively reduce muscle pain, improve sports performance and rehabilitation—many chronic problems, such as neck pain, shoulder stiffness, poor blood circulation. Sports massage involves manipulating soft tissues to treat and prevent sports and occupational injuries.
It uses a wide range of technologies, including NMT (Neuromuscular Technology), joint extension and joints, STR (soft tissue release), and vibration exercises to detect and repair muscle,
tendon, fascia and common injuries.
If Muscle tension is reduced, it can lead to posture problems and chronic pain.
A pre-match Sports massage: one hour before the start of any sporting event, use fast, exciting techniques to stimulate the body and concentrate.
A Post-match Sports massage: About an hour after any sporting event, use slow, rhythmic exercise to remove lactic acid from overworked muscles and help the healing process to prevent microtrauma. Reduce recovery time by avoiding blood congestion and fluid accumulation in the tissues.
